 Position Summary

 RLB is seeking two highly motivated full-time Senior Bookkeepers for our Guelph office who are looking for growth in their career and have the ability and interest to mentor our junior staff. If you have experience working directly with clients on complex bookkeeping engagements or experience at the assistant controller level, we want to meet you!

 How you will spend your time

 You will direct a team to prepare a client’s monthly accounting (bookkeeping, financial reports, government remittances, etc.). You will deal directly with our accountants to prepare a client’s year end financial statements and reporting. You will be expected to meet with clients, assist clients with the set-up of their books, and provide software training. Our plan is to continue to grow our bookkeeping practice, and the most important part of your role will be to mentor and develop the staff that are reporting to you. Meetings can be online or in person depending on the client and their preferences.

You will be continually growing, challenged and working under the direction of our Bookkeeping Team Leader. Through our Leadership Development program you will have the opportunity for professional growth and mentorship by our team.

Who you are

 Our ideal candidate demonstrates the following characteristics:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in full cycle book-keeping including posting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll and has experience preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • Tech savvy with the ability to design new processes and workflows for our clients
  •  A familiarity with and experience using most standard bookkeeping programs including Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage 50, Xero, Hubdoc and other cloud accounting tools (Certifications are an asset)
  • A focus on building meaningful relationships with both clients and RLB team members
  • A proven ability to identify issues and problem solve to confidently advise our clients on sales tax, payroll and complex transactions
  • Carries a high standard of integrity with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with both new and experienced business owners
  • Looking for a high potential, high growth opportunity

 Transportation is required as we are not on a bus route
